For their first album on Hāna's Panini Records label in 1973, Peter Moon and the Cazimero brothers resumed their musical partnership. As The Sunday Manoa, they continued to carve new pathways in Hawaiian music, utilizing a variety of contemporary instrumental stylings and tight vocal harmonies. As a highlight, Gabby Pahinui lent a hand on steel guitar, adding an innovative sound to the group music. "Cracked Seed" successfully blends hapa-haole musical traditions with a modern day sound.
